Trip from PAGE – to Horseshoe Bend – a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona. Horseshoe Bend is located 5 miles (8.0 km) downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, about 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of Page. Continuing journey to Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. The location of the immense Grand Canyon, with its layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history. Viewpoints include Mather Point, Yavapai Observation Station and architect Mary Colter’s Lookout Studio and her Desert View Watchtower. Lipan Point, with wide views of the canyon and Colorado River, is a popular, especially at sunrise and sunset. The South Rim Village is the main hub, with information centers and the Yavapai Geology Museum. In the east, near the Desert View Visitor Center, the Tusayan Museum explores the lifestyles of Native American communities. Remote North Rim visitor areas are less accessible and open seasonally. Along with its sweeping vistas, the park is a major hiking destination, with routes like the mainly flat Rim Trail and the steep Bright Angel Trail.(Source: Google)
