Long trip from town called Tropic in Garfield County – Utah to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming is a nearly 5.635-sq.- km wilderness recreation area atop a volcanic hot spot. Mostly in Wyoming, the park spreads into parts of Montana and Idaho. Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers, including its most famous, Old Faithful. It’s also home to hundreds of animal species, including bears, wolves, bison, elk and antelope.The photogenic Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is home to a waterfall almost double the height of Niagara Falls, while Lamar Valley’s active wildlife population along its expansive river banks makes it popular for hiking and camping.
